Senior Account Executive

This is a Senior Account Executive role focused on strategic service provider accounts, requiring in-depth knowledge of how technology enables business goals. The role involves leading relationships, ensuring revenue goals, identifying opportunities, and coordinating sales support teams. It emphasizes understanding customer business needs and F5's technical solutions, particularly in cybersecurity and managed security services.

What you'd actually do

  1. Primary point-of-contact for the Deutsche Telekom including T-Systems International. Maintains contact with account at a high, executive level, focusing on the strategic nature operational aspects of handling the account.
  2. Selling the organisation’s products or services to and maintains relationships with existing strategic accounts.
  3. Responsible for identifying and qualifying long-term and short-term business opportunities and pro-actively identifying and addressing competitive threats.
  4. Developing application of products and services and communicate how F5’s technical valuable solutions will address those needs as well as understand the customer’s organisation’s business needs,
  5. Assuming a leadership role in coordinating account strategy and tactics for sales support teams (inside sales, systems engineering, sales management).

Skills

Required

  • Significant direct work experience with DT (Telekom Deutschland and/or T-Systems) and potential other strategic service provider accounts
  • Specialised knowledge in networking products, service provider infrastructure as well as managed service provider ecosystem
  • Experience in cloud business and transformation, Kubernetes, Hyperscale concepts, SaaS sales and other cloud technology
  • Experience in security solutions and the sales motion towards customers
  • Project management skills to orchestrate the team working for projects of your accounts
  • Strategic understanding of service provider strategies and demands and ability to discuss business concepts internal and external
  • Excellent negotiation, closing skills, solution selling and presentation abilities
  • Excellent client interfacing and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to provide and work from a home office located within the territory
  • Willingness to meet the customer face to face

Nice to have

  • Bachelor degree preferred but not essential
  • Advantage are all experiences in F5 product portfolio as Big IP, Distributed Cloud and NGINX
  • Experience in Core Mobile Networks Solutions & Security a plus
  • Experience with Telefonica O2 Germany and Vodafone Germany a plus
  • Knowledge in Data Center architectures, from classical to cloud-native a plus
