Senior Account Executive, Aws Professional Services - Public Sector

This role is for a Senior Account Executive within AWS Professional Services, focusing on the Public Sector in Australia and New Zealand. The primary responsibility is to drive sales of AWS Professional Services, including those related to AI and generative AI, by engaging with new and existing customers, developing account plans, and managing the sales process from prospecting to closure. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud solutions, sales methodologies, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

What you'd actually do

  1. Qualifying and developing new opportunities for AWS Professional Services within new and existing territories
  2. Developing and executing account plans, working closely with AWS Sales
  3. Owning the sales motion end to end, including prospecting, qualification, and closure
  4. Leading sales to delivery for AWS Professional Services consultants
  5. Supporting complex RFx responses and direct bids

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
  • Experience in a quota carrying role and sales management experience
  • Consulting, design and implementation with cloud solutions experience
  • 10+ years of complex project and technology delivery experience

Nice to have

  • Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture
  • Experience in leading and influencing senior stakeholders (C-Suite) as a trusted advisor
  • AWS cloud certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified AI Practitioner)
