This role is for a Senior Account Manager at Cognite, a company focused on industrial digitalization and AI solutions. The primary responsibility is to manage and expand key customer accounts, ensuring they realize the full value of Cognite's products and achieve their business goals. The role involves nurturing long-term relationships, understanding customer needs, driving renewals and upsells, and acting as a liaison between customers and the product team. While the company builds AI, this specific role is in account management, not direct AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Managing the relationship with Cognite’s most valuable customers;
  2. Developing a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders and executive sponsors;
  3. Ensuring all Cognite activities are closely aligned with the customer's business case and business strategy, allowing them to realize the full potential of Cognite’s products;
  4. Driving expansions and securing renewals for your assigned accounts;
  5. Developing value roadmaps and account plans, charting a path to the customer’s desired outcome with Cognite software, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of Cognite's products, identifying expansion opportunities for account managers to close;

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years experience and a demonstrable track record in leading customer engagements as an Account manager or related role
  • A rich understanding of Account management methodologies and practices including (but not limited to) segmentation, customer journey, and customer health scoring;
  • Commercial experience in renewals and upselling;
  • Track record of expanding complex enterprise deals
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is required.
  • Proven experience of selling at C-Level both in business and IT
  • Experience of collaborating together with channel partners
  • Experience working at a high-growth scale-up organization;

Nice to have

  • Verbal skills in Arabic are an advantage.
