This role is for a Senior Accountant at an AI company, focusing on core accounting functions like month-end close, audit support, full-cycle accounting, and process improvement. It requires strong GAAP knowledge and experience in fast-paced startup environments. The company is building AI software agents.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and ensuring all close tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  2. Support annual financial audits, tax filings, and various other audits (e.g., financial, tax, workers comp) by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
  3. Execute day-to-day accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing (A/R & subscriptions), general ledger, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  4. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, documentation, and controls, and partner with the Accounting Manager to implement changes that increase efficiency and accuracy.
  5. Work alongside Sales, Customer Experience, RevOps, and other departments to support effective processes and resolve accounting-related inquiries.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience in tech industry, specifically SaaS, software, or fintech verticals.
