This role is for a Senior Accountant at Apollo.io, an AI-native company. The accountant will be responsible for month-end close activities, account reconciliations, international entities bookkeeping, financial analysis, and supporting process improvements and external auditors. What you'd actually do

  1. Prepare and post journal entries, maintain account reconciliations, and prepare and contribute to the month-end close package
  2. Own end-to-end bookkeeping and month-end close for international subsidiaries, ensuring all accounts are fully reconciled
  3. Reconcile cash accounts, including third-party payment processors, on a monthly basis
  4. Support the annual audit by preparing and organizing PBC documentation for external auditors (Big 4)
  5. Identify and drive accounting process improvements with a focus on scalability and efficiency

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
  • High attention to accuracy, detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment

  • CPA certification or active candidacy

  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and foreign subsidiary bookkeeping
