What you'd actually do

  1. Take ownership of complex accounting processes timely, accurately, and efficiently, including the recording of journal entries and preparation of account reconciliations.
  2. Perform first-level reviews of journal entries and account reconciliations for lower-risk areas prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and proper GAAP adherence
  3. Assist with the analysis of financial statements and variance analysis for month-end close.
  4. Support quarterly reviews and annual audits, serving as a point of contact for external auditors.
  5. Perform key SOX controls, maintain process documentation, and identify opportunities for risk mitigation.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational controls
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated history of driving process improvement and solving complex operational or accounting challenges
  • Attention to detail resulting in consistent, reliable, and accurate work product
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
