Senior Accountant specializing in project accounting, cost accounting, government contracts, and time-and-material billing for a company powering physical AI in defense and commercial programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Set up and maintain projects in NetSuite, including budgets, funding ceilings, contract line items (CLINs), and work breakdown structures (WBS)
  2. Track and reconcile project-level costs; prepare monthly variance analyses against approved budgets and contract funding
  3. Support project closeout activities including final billing, revenue true-up, and balance sheet reconciliation
  4. Prepare monthly project financial reports for program managers and finance leadership
  5. Allocate direct and indirect costs to contracts in compliance with FAR Part 31 cost principles and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience with T&M contract billing, cost-reimbursable contracts, and incurred cost submissions
  • Proficiency with NetSuite and Excel required
  • Strong analytical and data aggregation skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice to have

  • At least 3 years in government contract accounting (FAR/CAS/DCAA compliance)
  • Active CPA license or CPA eligibility
