Senior Accountant – Statutory Compliance & Reporting

Senior Accountant role focused on statutory compliance and reporting for a portfolio of legal entities, including financial statements, audits, and tax accounting. Requires experience in financial accounting, US GAAP, and ERP systems like SAP.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and coordinate the timely preparation/review/ filing of local statutory financial statements for a portfolio of entities
  2. Support or lead local statutory audit and tax requirements
  3. Coordinate with outsourced accounting firms and other internal department management on statutory audit questions and financial statements requirements. (Internal departments include Revenue Accounting, Payroll, PTP, FBP, Tax and Legal)
  4. Provide technical support on current accounting standards (such as IFRS) and local statutory requirements that have an impact on accounting operations
  5. Provide accounting information to support local and US GAAP tax requirements

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years PQE practice and/or industry in finance /accounting team
  • Qualified CPA, CA or equivalent
  • US GAAP knowledge and experience in an international and multi-currency environment
  • Working experience with ERP systems
  • Organizational, team-work and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter and results-oriented
  • Proven ability to influence others, build consensus, and resolve conflicts
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement and growth
  • Flexibility to support peak periods, including overlap with us/US time zones

Nice to have

  • Experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, General Ledger and/or in a Shared Service environment is preferable
  • SAP and Excel experience an advantage
