Senior Ads Solutions Engineer, Gtech Ads Solutions Engineering

This role is part of the gTech Ads Solutions Engineering team, responsible for providing technical and media services to customers using Google's Ad products. The role involves collecting requirements, designing and building scalable solutions, adapting existing solutions, and managing the solution lifecycle. It requires strong engineering and coding skills, with experience in client-side web technologies and troubleshooting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.
  2. Scope, design, and build a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, sellers, and partners proactively.
  3. Leverage engineering skills to adapt existing bespoke ads solutions created by regional teams into globally scaled solutions that can support thousands of customers.
  4. Own the solution life cycle from discovery to launch, managing maintenance bugs and feature requests, as well as deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related techincal field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience using machine learning and building solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a passion for data and a focus on delivering excellent user experiences.
  • Excellent project management skills along with the ability to take initiatives, work separately, navigate ambiguity, and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
