Senior AI Engineer, Enterprise

Snowflake Snowflake · Data AI · CA-Menlo Park, United States · Data Analytics and AI

Senior AI Engineer role focused on building the backend services, platform infrastructure, and AI capabilities for internal agentic applications at Snowflake. The role involves designing scalable systems, developing APIs and orchestration services, building reusable AI platform components, and optimizing AI infrastructure. It requires strong Python and backend engineering skills, experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, tool calling, and LLM orchestration frameworks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and build scalable backend services and distributed systems that power production AI and agentic applications.
  2. Develop APIs, orchestration services, and platform capabilities for internal AI products.
  3. Build reusable AI platform components, including agent frameworks, evaluation pipelines, developer SDKs, templates, and shared Python libraries.
  4. Evolve our engineering platform through modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment tooling, and developer experience improvements.
  5. Optimize AI infrastructure and backend services for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
