Senior AI Soc Design Engineer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · California, Santa Clara, United States +1

This role is for a Senior AI SoC Design Engineer at Intel, focusing on developing hardware for AI applications. The engineer will own the architecture and end-to-end design of complex SoC subsystems, drive RTL design, and collaborate across various engineering disciplines. A strong understanding of AI/ML workloads and their impact on hardware architecture is required, along with expertise in SystemVerilog and microarchitecture. The role involves driving system-level PPA tradeoffs and mentoring senior engineers, contributing to the next-generation SoC and AI architecture roadmap.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own architecture and end-to-end design of complex SoC subsystems from concept through silicon bring-up
  2. Define microarchitecture and drive RTL design and integration for high-performance and power-efficient designs
  3. Lead cross-functional collaboration across architecture, design, verification, physical design, firmware, and validation teams
  4. Drive system-level power, performance, and area (PPA) tradeoffs across multiple IPs and subsystems
  5. Contribute to and shape next-generation SoC and AI architecture roadmap
