Senior Analyst, Antipiracy Operations (intelligence/investigations)

This role focuses on combating online piracy of Disney content by conducting investigations, researching piracy technologies and trends, and providing reports. It involves collaboration with legal teams and industry associations, and requires strong analytical and communication skills. While AI tools are mentioned as a plus for data analysis and scripting, the core function is not AI development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide antipiracy support for film, television, live events and consumer products by utilizing piracy monitoring services and enforcement methodologies (manual and automated systems)
  2. Support and lead OSINT investigations into piracy sites, services, and operators, and create reports to drive referrals and legal action
  3. Support research into landscape analysis, consumer behavior, piracy trends, and make observations to improve the efficacy of enforcement
  4. Research and monitor piracy technologies, websites and apps, online e-commerce marketplaces to stay up to date on latest digital piracy methods and seller behavior to obfuscate detection
  5. Generate, analyze and provide regular reports that help clients better understand piracy information and drive actions

Skills

Required

  • Passion for Disney content
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a corporate environment, private company, trade association or law enforcement agency in online investigations, data analysis and/or technology operations
  • Solid understanding of the online e-commerce marketplaces, online piracy site landscape, as well as online live streaming sites (pirated and legitimate)
  • Strong PC and Internet skills required, such as Internet architecture, websites, web browsers, digital video, Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools, such as MS Excel or Tableau as well as experience with advanced Excel formulas and functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs
  • Working knowledge of DMCA and applicable copyright laws
