Senior Analyst (competitive Intelligence)

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Menlo Park, CA +2

This role focuses on competitive intelligence, leveraging advanced analytics, data science, and market strategy. The analyst will lead projects, influence product direction, conduct advanced analyses using 3rd-party datasets, develop statistical models, and synthesize insights. A key aspect is the proficient use and integration of AI-powered tools, including Generative AI (LLMs, AI agents), for automating data analysis, insight synthesis, and executing multi-step analytical tasks. The role requires strong skills in causal inference, Bayesian aggregation, and ethical data use, with an emphasis on shaping analytical foundations and driving business outcomes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead major projects and product areas—often in environments of significant ambiguity or technical complexity—driving both technical and business outcomes.
  2. Influence organization-level product direction through data-driven narratives and an in depth understanding of the market landscape.
  3. Conduct advanced analyses with 3P datasets, develop statistical models and forecasts, and deliver actionable insights that informs market and business strategy.
  4. Act as a recognized professional in a technical or methodological area (e.g., causal inference, bayesian aggregation), driving the adoption of advanced methods and organization-wide best practices that raise the bar for the entire team
  5. Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
