Senior Associate, Learning and Development

This role is for a Senior Associate, Learning and Development within Capital One Canada's Tech Team. The primary focus is on restructuring and elevating the onboarding experience and addressing learning and development needs for newly formed Tech teams. The role involves designing and delivering market-leading onboarding and learning experiences, establishing a culture of growth, and scaling onboarding infrastructure. Responsibilities include structuring onboarding programs, developing learning plans, partnering with L&D POCs, acting as an L&D contact for Tech leaders, promoting a culture of growth, assisting with engagement and retention strategies, supporting internal communications, optimizing learning technologies, and implementing evaluation strategies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the structuring of the onboarding program tailored for the ongoing hiring within the newly created Tech team
  2. Develop ongoing learning plans and content to ensure continuous technical and professional upskilling across the Tech organization
  3. Partner closely with Enterprise L&D points of contact (POCs) and Tech partners to leverage, adapt, and build upon existing global strategies while fostering strong cross-border working relationships.
  4. Act as the primary L&D contact for Tech leaders and SMEs to gather information and validate training materials and programs
  5. Support efforts to promote a culture of growth and innovation within Tech teams by creating clear learning paths and development opportunities
