This role is for a Senior Associate, Social Media Organic & GEO Content Strategist at Capital One. The primary focus is on developing and executing social media content strategies for the Business Cards & Payments line of business, aligning with brand goals and enterprise objectives. Responsibilities include content development, strategic recommendations, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies for AI search, briefing creative teams, and managing paid media support. The role requires expertise in social platforms, B2B social strategy, and paid media campaigns.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop content for all pre-planned and real-time social media content across a range of campaigns for our business social channels in accordance with a content strategy
  2. Drive insights and learnings that fuel your line of business and influences our publishing agenda
  3. Make strategic recommendations that drive social engagement, impressions, or conversions
  4. Support GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies with developing social content optimized for AI search
  5. Partner across the organization and various teams to communicate and manage projects

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing communications, public relations or advertising with social media focus
  • At least 1 year of experience with social media tools (such as Meta Business Suite, Business Managers and Sprinklr)
  • Expertise across all major social platforms. Including: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc
  • Experience in B2B social strategy
  • Experience developing and executing Paid Media campaigns across several of the major social platforms – preferably for a large consumer brand
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with flawless execution while adhering to tight timelines, also making sure efforts are meeting the business needs at every touch point
  • Proven experience developing creative briefs and working closely with creative and agency teams to ensure we deliver on them successfully

Nice to have

  • Experience in the Sports, Sponsorships, Event Production, and/or Entertainment industry is a plus
  • Social/Digital Agency experience is a plus
  • Keen process orientation and ability to work independently to resolve problems, yet with a strategic sense for how and when to effectively manage up
  • 3+ years of experience in digital and social media marketing
  • 3+years of experience in a B2B marketing environment
  • 3+ years of marketing communication or advertising or public relations work experience
  • Experience working at a Fortune 500 company
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, or other highly regulated industry
