Senior Associate, Strategy - Consumer Intelligence

This role is a Senior Associate, Strategy within Capital One's Consumer Intelligence team. It focuses on using business analytics and quantitative research to understand customer behavior and inform company strategy. Responsibilities include designing and executing analyses, managing workstreams, and building dashboards, with a strong emphasis on analytical thinking and problem-solving.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help ensure that leaders across Capital One know how our customers feel, and take an active hand in ensuring company strategy is centered around identifying and solving customer needs
  2. Design and execute rigorous analyses for senior executives related to customer opportunities, leveraging large scale quantitative research, analytics, design thinking, and other approaches
  3. Design and maintain complex queries to join large disparate datasets and drive insights
  4. Build interactive dashboards that allow stakeholders to self-serve insights
  5. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline SQL analysis and critical Executive reporting

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year of experience in Business Analysis, Strategy Consulting, Data Analysis, Financial Modeling, or a combination
  • 6 months of experience using SQL, joining disparate datasets, and driving insights

Nice to have

  • Experience in quantitative programming languages, such as Python and R
  • Experience using business intelligence tools, such as Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, and Looker
  • Proficiency using GitHub for version control
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to take a hypothesis-driven approach to solve strategic problems and quickly focus on highest leverage areas
  • Robust workstream management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with survey design and analysis of customer survey data
  • Experience with panel-based research and vendor management
