Senior Av Engineer - Westlake

This role is for a Senior AV Engineer at Deloitte's Greenhouse in Westlake, TX. The primary responsibilities include providing advanced technical support for audio-visual and collaboration technologies in immersive environments, coordinating AV setups, troubleshooting issues, managing equipment inventory, and supporting vendors. The role also involves assisting in the implementation and showcasing of emerging technologies like AI and XR in client demonstrations, contributing to technology exploration and prototyping, and mentoring junior teammates. The position requires a strong background in AV systems, IT support, and customer service, with a focus on ensuring seamless client experiences.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide white-glove technology customer service and advanced technical support for all Greenhouse labs, both in-person and virtually (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex), ensuring a seamless client experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  2. Coordinate with lab teams to plan, set up, test, and support audio-visual (AV) and technology solutions for Greenhouse labs, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Crestron processors, NVX systems, DM switchers, Biamp DSPs, AV network infrastructure, and USB extenders, and collaboration software.
  3. Monitor the status and performance of all rooms and AV systems, proactively addressing equipment issues and ensuring optimal functionality.
  4. Coordinate inventory management, quality control, packing, shipping, and maintenance of all AV equipment and mobile technologies, supervising team members as needed.
  5. Serve as a trusted technology advisor by assisting lab designers and delivery teams in implementing and showcasing advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed reality devices, predictive analytics, and other emerging technologies in client demonstrations.

Skills

Required

  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of various technology experience: with technologies including, but not limited to, networking, Windows, Apple IOS, Crestron systems, Smart Displays, and/or other in-room technologies combined with advanced troubleshooting of AV and/or IT systems and technologies including touch displays, iOS devices, Mac, and Windows PCs.
  • Onsite at Westlake, TX Deloitte office with ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends as needed (e.g. provide after-hours support on a rotational basis with occasional travel required to offices in local geography).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Nice to have

  • Experience in the development of operational procedures and aptitude to develop performance measures to quantify service performance.
  • Demonstrates a client-service attitude and aptitude.
  • Ability to follow standards, processes, and procedures within the scope of T&I Visual Technologies teams.
  • Demonstrate in-depth expertise in A/V control systems and integrated audio systems and hardware, with a strong background in system design, configuration, and integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field.
