What you'd actually do

Build and maintain the core backend services and infrastructure that power the Island Enterprise Platform.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Frontend, Security, AI) to design and implement new features and functionalities.

Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our backend systems.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering best practices.

Skills

Required

Backend development (e.g., Go, Java, Python, Node.js)
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Experience working in an agile development environment

Nice to have

Experience with security-focused products or technologies
Familiarity with browser technologies
Experience with large-scale enterprise software
Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and integration
