NVIDIA is seeking a Platform Design Engineer to join their Circuit Solutions Group. The role involves designing evaluation boards for Nvidia products like GPUs and CPUs, driving design execution, component selection, and collaborating with various engineering teams. Responsibilities include managing documentation, defining platform specifications, and hands-on lab testing and validation. The ideal candidate will have a BS/MSEE, 5+ years of board/system design experience, and proficiency in circuit simulation and fault diagnosis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design responsibility for the design of evaluation boards for Nvidia products, including GPUs, CPUs, test chips, etc.
  2. Drive every aspect of design execution, electrical schematics, component selection, and provide layout guidance.
  3. Manage the documentation required to release the product to manufacturing and partners, and serve as the primary interface to the Silicon/Thermal/Mechanical/SI/EMC engineers.
  4. Collaborate with Platform Architects and Chip Leads to create the platform specification and ensure the design meets the performance and testing requirements.
  5. Hands-on development and testing in a lab environment, validation plans and bring-up, accompanying production and qualification processes.

Skills

Required

  • BS/MSEE and 5+ years of board/System design experience
  • Proficiency in digital/analog circuit simulation and fault diagnosis.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects from specification through to production.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills.

Nice to have

  • Deep knowledge in analog and digital electrical circuits.
  • Experience with SoC platform design, including high current power delivery and high speed signals.
  • Proven industry experience with board design and fabrication including schematics, layout, and familiarity with thermal and mechanical design processes.
