This role focuses on optimizing inbound customer channels (EASE, Email, Site) for a financial institution by designing and implementing models and frameworks. The Senior Business Analyst will analyze business challenges, support product and marketing strategies, improve credit risk performance through modeling, and collaborate with various internal teams. The role emphasizes analytical skills, strategic thinking, and communication, particularly in the context of credit risk and financial product decisions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
  2. Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products
  3. Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Help build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go to market strategies
  4. Support step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
  5. Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan

Skills

Required

  • At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
