Senior Business Analyst, Fleet Planning

This role focuses on business analysis and planning for fleet operations, including network planning, resource allocation, and load scheduling. It involves building forecasting models, translating business problems into analytical frameworks, and developing performance metrics and dashboards to optimize efficiency and profitability. What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Product, Business Development, and Dispatch stakeholders to develop and optimize weekly network and resource plans across people, trucks, and terminals
  2. Build forecasting models to optimize fleet allocation, load management, and network efficiency against commercial and development demand.
  3. Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations that drive operational decisions
  4. Scope and define business requirements for fleet allocation, scheduling, load management, and optimization tools in partnership with Product and Engineering teams
  5. Create and manage weekly resource allocation schedules based on operational inputs and outputs (fleet allocation, load management, etc.) and network optimization tools

Skills

Required

  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, network planning, or operations strategy, with a focus on data analysis and network optimization.
  • Experience building forecasting, allocation, or optimization models
  • Advanced modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience using logistics, planning, or analytics tools to support operational workflows
  • Experience using data to solve operational problems and influence business decisions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Strong judgment and ability to drive work from problem definition through execution
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate analysis into action

Nice to have

  • Experience in a high-growth tech or startup environment
  • Experience in SQL
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Familiarity with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools
  • Experience collaborating with engineering or product teams to develop operational tools
  • Interest in transportation, logistics, or autonomous vehicle operations
