This role is for a Senior Business Analytics Specialist on the BI COE Platform team at Microsoft, focusing on operating and evolving the AMP Data Platform built on Microsoft Fabric. The platform supports business intelligence, analytics, automation, and AI solutions for over 50,000 users. The role is central to reinventing data engineering for the age of AI by building an AI-native data platform where intelligent agents automate tasks. The candidate will work hands-on with modern cloud analytics and AI-native engineering practices, focusing on security, scalability, and governance. Responsibilities include operating the platform, enabling trusted data products, accelerating AI-native engineering adoption, improving platform performance, partnering with the Fabric Product Group, enabling secure data consumption, and building AI agents to automate data engineering tasks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help operate one of Microsoft’s largest Microsoft Fabric enterprise platforms.
  2. Enable trusted data products that power analytics, automation, and AI experiences across MCAPS and Finance.
  3. Accelerate Microsoft’s transition toward AI-native engineering through practical adoption of AI-native development practices.
  4. Improve platform scalability, reliability, governance, and performance for over 50,000 monthly users.
  5. Partner with Microsoft Fabric Product Group teams to influence and validate next-generation platform capabilities through Customer Zero adoption.
