Senior Business Director, Operations Strategy

This role is for a Senior Business Director of Operations Strategy at Capital One. The primary focus is on developing data-driven strategies, collaborating with Product, Technology, and Data Science teams, and leading a team of Business Analysts to transform Retail Bank Operations. The role requires strong analytical, strategic, leadership, and communication skills to drive operational excellence and business growth within the fintech domain. While the role partners with AI/Data Science teams, it does not involve building or shipping AI models directly.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  2. May manage and develop multiple analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  3. Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level data modeling/analytics
  4. Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel.
  5. Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 5 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience performing people management
  • At least 3 years of experience performing project management
