Senior Business Excellence Engineer- Orthopedics

This role focuses on leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodology within the Orthopaedics supply chain manufacturing division. The engineer will own process improvement projects, design visual factory solutions, coach employees on Lean/Six Sigma tools, and apply data analysis for root-cause investigation. The goal is to deliver measurable business results in cost reduction, quality, throughput, and lead time.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects from Define through Control using Lean Six Sigma methodology to deliver measurable business results (cost reduction, quality, throughput, lead time).
  2. Act as project owner for medium-to-large capital and process improvement projects: develop charters, build schedules, manage risks, track budgets and report status.
  3. Design and implement visual factory solutions (kanban, visual metrics, standardized workboards) and support site-wide deployment of 5S/6S and standard work.
  4. Use CAD tools to support process design, line layouts, tooling/fixture concepts and process simulations; create and revise technical drawings to support implementation.
  5. Coach, mentor and train employees and leaders on Lean, Six Sigma tools, problem solving (A3, PDCA), and change management to build internal capability.
