Senior Business Operations Analyst

SoFi SoFi · Fintech · Cottonwood Heights, UT · Member Service Delivery Strategy

This role is for a Senior Business Operations Analyst at SoFi, focusing on operational strategy and data storytelling within the Global Business Operations team. The analyst will act as a 'Chief of Staff' for the Global Operations EVP, supporting financial communications, executive storytelling, and governance tracking. Key responsibilities include managing project data, translating data into insights, facilitating centralized intake, driving change management rigor, monitoring capacity and risks, maintaining portfolio visibility, and innovating with AI-driven solutions to automate governance tasks. The role requires advanced proficiency in tools like Google, Smartsheet, AirTable, and Jira, strong analytical and presentation skills, and an interest in AI and automation for operational improvements. The role is described as a 'builder' role involved in SoFi's initial exploration of AI-governed operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the primary custodian of project data, ensuring all information is current for internal and external audits. You will manage the timely creation and closure of projects and ensure the proper storage of all key artifacts.
  2. Move beyond 'green/yellow/red' status updates. You will analyze portfolio trends to identify systemic bottlenecks and craft the narrative for Global Ops' impact on SoFi’s bottom line
  3. Facilitate the global intake process to capture, sequence, and prioritize initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring that all requests are accurately mapped to Company Priorities.
  4. Partner cross-functionally and with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to govern SCI and LCI. You will ensure that no high-priority work launches without meeting defined operational readiness criteria and change management standards.
  5. Dig into potential AI solutions (agentic AI or otherwise) to solve "Governance Challenges" such as conducting routine compliance checks and readiness audits.
