Senior Business Operations Manager

Snorkel AI Snorkel AI · Data AI · Redwood City, CA +1 · 532 - Finance Ops

This role is a Senior Business Operations Manager at Snorkel AI, a company focused on helping enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale using their data. The role reports to the VP of Business Operations and is crucial for scaling the company's growth. It involves partnering with leaders across the company to address strategic problems, develop operating systems, and drive measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include strategic planning, cross-functional initiatives, analytics, and establishing operating cadences. The ideal candidate has strong business judgment, entrepreneurial drive, technical capability to build prototypes, and experience in scaling businesses. The role requires building on existing data infrastructure to create dashboards and reporting, translating messy data into clear recommendations, and designing scalable systems and processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with leaders across Snorkel to frame complex business problems and drive them to execution and impact, not just analysis or decisions
  2. Own cross-functional initiatives and stand up new programs and capabilities end-to-end: from problem definition through execution, measurement, and handoff to a steady-state owner
  3. Scope and run company initiatives end-to-end (e.g., external partnerships, corporate development, etc.)
  4. Translate strategic priorities into structured operating plans with clear owners, milestones, and measurable targets. Be able to run those core operating rhythms: roadmapping, OKRs, business reviews, planning cycles
  5. Build on top of our existing data and analytics infrastructure to create the dashboards and reporting that drive insight and enable us to run a world-class business without needing a technical analyst for support
  6. Turn messy data into clear recommendations for executive audiences
  7. Surface risks and trade-offs early and drive timely, well-made decisions
  8. Design durable systems and processes that scale with the company

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and high ownership: creative thinking, always willing to roll up your sleeves, and try new things
  • Hands-on technical capability across the data stack that makes a modern company run — data lakes, data pipelines, systems of record (CRM, ERP, and similar), and analytics/BI — and able to dig into technical questions and root causes when needed
  • Passion for unlocking new capabilities with modern AI tooling is a must. You can build your own prototypes to show what's possible, and have a sense for what it takes to turn a prototype into something the business can rely on
