This role focuses on defining the monetization strategy, including pricing and packaging, for Microsoft 365 consumer products, with a significant emphasis on integrating and growing new AI features. The Senior Business Planner will analyze market dynamics, build financial models, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive AI feature adoption and revenue growth.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead pricing and packaging strategy for M365 for Individuals, with a significant focus on new AI features.
  2. Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including new product launches, feature tiering changes, and pricing initiatives.
  3. Conduct market and customer research, assess competitive dynamics (especially in consumer AI), and synthesize insights into clear recommendations
  4. Build and own financial models in partnership with Finance to evaluate customer life-time-value (LTV) impact.
  5. Develop executive-ready materials, and present proposals to senior leaders, including Microsoft CMO and CVP-level stakeholders, to drive alignment and approvals.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • B2C pricing, packaging, or feature tiering in technology or a similar industry.
  • Advanced understanding of AI markets, trends, and competitive landscape, particularly in consumer segments.
  • Problem-solving skills with a hypothesis-driven, structured approach.

Nice to have

  • 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
