Senior Business Program Manager

Microsoft Microsoft · Big Tech · Redmond, WA +1 · Business Program Management

This role is for a Senior Business Program Manager within Microsoft Business Operations, focusing on transforming global investment operations. The core responsibility is to drive a continuous improvement and automation roadmap, modernizing processes by integrating AI/ML tools and analytics to create AI-augmented, human-in-the-loop workflows. The role involves designing and implementing a global operating model, establishing governance, and ensuring compliance, particularly for a pre-payment proof-of-execution validation process to mitigate improper-payment risk. While the role leverages AI/ML tools and aims to create AI-augmented workflows, the primary focus is on business operations, program management, and process transformation rather than direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive a multi-year continuous improvement and automation roadmap, transforming manual processes into AI-enabled, human-in-the-loop workflows.
  2. Design and implement a global operating model for new services, built to business need and scalable across regions.
  3. Establish global program governance — ownership, decision rights, and a structured Rhythm of Business (leadership reviews, steering committees).
  4. Set the multi-year vision for how Microsoft validates high-risk supplier work, and build the governance and controls model that sustains it.
