This role is a Senior Business Value Consultant for MongoDB, focusing on the enterprise market in North America. The consultant will work closely with the sales team in a pre-sales capacity to articulate the business value of MongoDB's solutions to clients, and in a post-sales capacity to validate value and identify optimization opportunities. The role involves creating business cases, financial models, and presenting technical concepts in terms of business benefits to executive stakeholders. While MongoDB is an AI company, this role is sales-adjacent and does not involve building or shipping AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the sales organization, to impact both tactical and strategic opportunity success of our field sales force
  2. Develop Business Value Consulting collateral for internal and external use: when new MongoDB products are released, and when a gap or need of the practice is identified
  3. Serve as a mentor to sellers who may be unfamiliar with this role, and further improve the value selling capabilities of the rest
  4. Engage with customers using a value-based selling approach to build a compelling narrative that covers the current state, the desired future state, the value in closing the gap, and a delivery plan to ensure their success
  5. Use business, technical, and financial analyses to understand the baseline and future state capabilities of the customer
