Senior Capture Team Lead - Millennium Space Systems

This role is for a Senior Capture Team Lead at Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company, focused on national security space. The primary responsibility is to shape markets and capture new business by leading campaign activities from opportunity identification to contract award. This involves translating strategy into executable plans, engaging customers, developing win strategies, and partnering with internal teams. The role requires experience with spacecraft systems and interfacing with US Government customers, with a focus on business development and sales within the defense sector.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and build cross-functional campaign teams to capture key spacecraft programs in critical mission areas
  2. Translate mission area strategy into executable capture plans and prioritized pursuits
  3. Identify, qualify, and shape new business opportunities aligned to company growth objectives
  4. Engage customers to understand mission needs, architectures, requirements, acquisition strategies, and key stakeholders
  5. Develop and execute capture and win strategies informed by customer insight, competitive analysis, and business case

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, and/or space mission systems
  • Experience interfacing directly with U.S. Government customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in a technical or business-related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional or matrixed teams to achieve program or proposal objectives
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop executive-level briefings
  • Experience in program management, including cost and schedule planning
  • Experience with design, development, and/or operations of space vehicles
  • Experience leading DoD and/or Intelligence Community capture and proposal efforts

What the JD emphasized

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required
