Senior Circuit Characterization Engineer

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Santa Clara, CA

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Circuit Characterization Engineer to productize their chips into various solutions. The role involves silicon bringup and post-silicon characterization to optimize performance, power, yield, and quality, build methodologies for Analog, digital, and Mixed Signal circuits, design tools for efficiency, solve complex silicon and system level problems, and lead junior engineers. Requires BS/MS in EE/CE or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation, and knowledge of various silicon characterization techniques and tools. Familiarity with Python, C/C++ is also required.

What you'd actually do

  1. As a Silicon Circuit Characterization engineer for NVIDIA's family of chips and products, you will participate in silicon bringup & post-silicon characterization of new silicon to optimize performance, power, yield, and quality to define the world’s fastest products.
  2. Build methodologies to characterize Analog, digital and Mixed Signal circuits, silicon features, correlate silicon behavior with simulations.
  3. Design tools to improve execution efficiency to facilitate the ability to work simultaneously on multiple products.
  4. Find creative solutions to complex silicon and system level problems and be on the frontline to lead show-stopper bugs, in order to enable product shipment.
  5. Work closely with other engineering teams to determine coverage needs and constraints.
