Senior Client Executive - Sled Sales

This role is for a Senior Client Executive focused on State, Local, and Education (SLED) government accounts. The primary responsibility is to drive sales growth by developing strategic sales plans, managing C-level relationships, and positioning Verizon's solutions. While the role utilizes AI tools and methodologies like Velocity Selling to enhance sales efficiency and customer engagement, it does not involve building or developing AI models or systems. The focus is on selling existing Verizon solutions, which may include AI-powered offerings, to government clients.

What you'd actually do

  1. You’ll play a key role in driving the growth in government accounts, specifically State, Local, and Education within the Mid Atlantic states area.
  2. You’ll act as a resource for all things government sales, providing long-range strategic planning for growth of major accounts, managing C-level relationships, and providing industry-specific knowledge.
  3. You’ll also provide competitive intelligence, position Verizon competitively, and provide guidance regarding product management and marketing.
  4. You’ll also architect and execute strategic sales plans to ensure Verizon solutions align with clients’ business challenges.
  5. You’ll provoke, uncover, nurture, and assist in closing complex, integrated solutions which enable clients to realize their objectives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Experience selling in State, Local, and Education space.
  • Experience working successfully within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience establishing and fostering relationships with C-level executives.
  • Experience providing thought leadership to major public sector clients.
  • Experience developing a sales force and training and re-engineering for solutions-based selling.
  • Experience consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
