Senior Clinical Consultant - General Readiness

This role focuses on clinical strategy and readiness for Post Go-Live (PGL) of healthcare IT systems, specifically EHR sustainment. It involves leading readiness fundamentals, engaging clinical stakeholders, identifying risks, and driving process improvements for smooth transitions and adoption of new workflows. The role requires deep understanding of clinical workflows, EHR best practices, and project leadership.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support Readiness Fundamentals Owner: Lead the design, development, and execution of the Support Readiness Fundamentals series, ensuring it aligns perfectly with both project objectives and specific site requirements.
  2. Site Readiness Leadership: Offer your clinical expertise and leadership to site teams, ensuring smooth EHR sustainment after go-live.
  3. Risk & Issue Identification: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to proactively spot, document, and mitigate any risks or issues that may arise in post-go-live support.
  4. Clinical Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main clinical liaison, connecting informatics teams, healthcare providers, and leadership to ensure effective communication and alignment on key objectives.
  5. Drive Project Plan Success: Partner with the Project Manager to ensure that all project deliverables are executed on time, effectively addressing clinical considerations and overcoming roadblocks.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field
  • The ability to acquire federal security clearance, which requires you to be a US citizen
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or EHR optimization
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Health/Cerner solutions, system build, implementation, and workflow alignment
  • Proven project management expertise with experience in clinical transformation initiatives
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, or Business Administration
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical licensure
