What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the execution of commissioning test procedures across assigned systems including pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and integrated systems tests.
  2. Review and provide input on commissioning test scripts, MOPs, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
  3. Serve as a field-level technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving commissioning deficiencies across mechanical or controls disciplines.
  4. Coordinate with trade contractors and subcontractors to schedule, sequence, and support commissioning activities on-site.
  5. Verify installation conditions against approved drawings, submittals, and specifications to confirm readiness for testing.

What the JD emphasized

  • 4+ years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent field experience considered (CxA certification a plus).
  • Solid understanding of data center systems including cooling infrastructure, and BMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of commissioning levels L1 through L5 and associated documentation and testing requirements.
  • Ability to independently execute and troubleshoot functional and integrated system tests.
