Senior Communications Engineer

This role is for a Senior Communications Engineer responsible for designing and implementing physical network infrastructure, including cabling systems, for various Disney businesses. The engineer will work on small to medium-sized projects, developing designs, managing costs, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing implementation and transition to operations. Responsibilities include creating physical layer design documents, managing cable pulls, and researching new technologies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Acts as single point of contact to Real Estate Design & Delivery organization for small to medium size construction projects.
  2. Develops ROM costs for design and delivery of a complete turn-key network infrastructure for a defined project.
  3. Develops office building physical layer design documents and BOMs.
  4. Designs horizontal cabling systems & supporting components, optical riser backbone systems, OSP optical campus backbones & pathways, cable pathways, cable tray conveyance systems, conduits, pull-boxes, outlets, workstation feeds-devices, floor termination devices, etc.
  5. Manage new copper and fiber cable pulls.
