Senior Contracts Analyst

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Contracts Analyst to support their sales, alliance, professional services, and procurement organizations in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and procurement agreements, handling contract-related inquiries and disputes, and partnering with internal teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in legal contract negotiation and drafting, strong business judgment, excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, and an interest in the technology industry, including AI concepts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Draft, review and negotiate main services agreements, order forms, professional services agreements, statement of work, non disclosure agreements and other types of commercial agreements between customers or partners and Salesforce or its acquired entities in support of sales and other relevant organizations in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan;
  2. Draft, review and negotiate standard purchasing agreements, global services agreements, hosted services agreements, statements of work, purchase orders, sponsorship agreements, non disclosure agreements and other types of procurement agreements with suppliers in support of procurement and other relevant organizations in Japan
  3. Review questions from existing and potential customers, partners and suppliers about existing contracts and give appropriate interpretations and answers;
  4. Handle customer, partner and supplier complaints and potential disputes in partnership with internal stakeholders to achieve resolution;
  5. Partner with revenue recognition, sales operations, pricing, and other stakeholder teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes;

Skills

Required

  • 3 or more years of combined experience in law firm and/or in house legal department including experience negotiating and drafting agreements
  • Practical business judgment
  • Highly responsive, proactive, flexible, client service-oriented attitude with a can-do spirit
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast and demanding work environment
  • Articulate, persuasive, and concise written and verbal communication skills both in English and Japanese languages
  • Ability to quickly establish and consistently maintain collaborative working relationships with internal clients and legal team colleagues
  • Strong desire to take initiative and work independently, when needed, to solve problems effectively and efficiently
  • Desire to listen with open mind to others’ perspectives to improve own ways and behaviors
