Salesforce is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel in London, UK, to join their Global Affairs team. This role focuses on providing legal expertise for the Public Sector business, structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements, and ensuring compliance with UK public sector procurement regulations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of PQE, deep public sector expertise, and strong negotiation and risk management skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements for direct and indirect Public Sector sales routes, with a dedicated focus on large UK public sector procurements and strategic government framework agreements (including BOS2 and other major government frameworks).
  2. Lead negotiations of Master Services Agreements, Order Forms, Professional Services agreements, and related commercial documentation either on Salesforce paper or government paper (within Salesforce’s approved parameters).
  3. Navigate and respond to complex public procurement requirements, e.g. working on requests for proposals/informations, ethical walls agreements, drafting clarification questions, and ensuring strict compliance with UK public sector procurement regulations.
  4. Partner with senior sales teams and business stakeholders across the UK & Ireland region to enable high-stakes deals and provide strategic legal guidance.
  5. Assess complex commercial and legal risks unique to public sector contracting, provide practical advice, and escalate matters appropriately to leadership when needed.

Skills

Required

  • Qualified Solicitor with current practicing certificate (England & Wales) or equivalent legal qualification from a common law jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of PQE, ideally gained in-house at a technology company or in private practice advising tech clients and/or government entities.
  • Deep public sector expertise, with a distinct preference for an authoritative understanding of UK procurement legislation, government in-house experience and/or extensive experience with UK government frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, BOS2) and complex public sector contracts.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a sophisticated ability to balance commercial objectives with legal risk management.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, able to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
  • Project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and escalate appropriately.
