What you'd actually do

  1. Provide comprehensive legal support to one or more business regions or practice groups
  2. Act as a proactive and trusted business partner, offering legal and business counsel to stakeholders on a wide variety of contract-related issues, compliance matters, and risk assessments
  3. Work closely with business teams to develop and execute legal strategies that protect and advance the company’s operations
  4. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including complex software as a service (SaaS) agreements, client agreements, procurement agreements, information technology agreements, government contracts, commercial leasing agreements, and consulting agreements
  5. Coordinate resolution of business disputes and manage outside counsel as needed

Skills

  • Law degree
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois, Tennessee, or New York
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate law or transactional practice
  • Experience with commercial contracts (technology, government, procurement)
