What you'd actually do

  1. Lead IP Disputes: Provide strategic counsel and drive business-positive outcomes for adversarial matters, including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret litigation and pre-litigation disputes.
  2. Direct Outside Counsel: Manage all phases of the litigation lifecycle, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, motion practice, and trial, on a broad range of disputes to ensure outside execution remains aligned with company goals.
  3. Support Broader Business: Partner with the legal team and management to advise on complex agreements, commercial disputes, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions.
  4. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with technical and leadership teams to provide support for various legal matters impacting the product and functional areas.
  5. Strategic Decision Making: Exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations and take ownership of complex workstreams with limited oversight.

Skills

Required

  • J.D. degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in IP litigation
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated case management skills
  • Sense of ownership
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality, and lean environment
  • US Person Requirement

Nice to have

  • Previous experience serving as a judicial clerk
  • Direct trial experience
