This role focuses on developing data tools and insights to drive the development and operation of a commercially viable product, with a focus on on-road performance and commercial/operational goals. The analyst will partner with stakeholders to design and implement metrics and dashboards, and collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts on various problems. Requires experience in data analytics projects end-to-end, SQL, data pipelines, DBT, and Python.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop data tools and insights to drive the development and operation of a commercially viable product, with a focus on our on-road performance and commercial/operational goals.
  2. Partner closely with those stakeholders to design and implement metrics and dashboards to help them measure, understand, and improve decision making, performance, and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with a team of world-class Data Scientists and Analysts on problems spanning commercialization, operations, safety, hardware, and software.
  4. Collaborate with our Data Science & Analytics and Engineering communities to ensure the adoption of best practices and suggest improvements.

Skills

Required

  • 3-6 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role.
  • Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Advanced proficiency with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks/tools.
  • Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree (MS) in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools
  • Experience using data-modeling business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Experience presenting your work to Executive teams & interfacing with varied stakeholders
  • Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle, Robotics, or Advanced Transportation domains
  • Exposure to Logistics, Fleet Operations, Network Planning, or Optimization problems
