Senior Data Analyst, Growth Product

This role is for a Senior Data Analyst focused on Growth Product within a fintech company. The analyst will partner with Growth Product and Engineering teams to drive impact across the member journey, from acquisition to retention. Responsibilities include owning funnels, designing and analyzing A/B tests, translating business questions into recommendations, advising on product roadmaps, and building member behavior understanding. The role involves using advanced statistical methods, causal inference, time-series forecasting, and occasionally machine learning for tasks like customer segmentation. The analyst will also build metrics, establish eventing for user behavior tracking, develop operational dashboards, translate findings into executive-ready narratives, and build data pipelines using dbt. Experience with SQL, Python, applied statistics, experimental design, and A/B testing is required, as is experience acting as a trusted advisor and a bias towards proactive problem discovery. Familiarity with AI coding tools is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate as an independent thought partner to Product, Engineering, and Design — helping shape strategy, not just measure it. You’ll proactively identify opportunities and risks, framing the right questions before they’re even asked.
  2. Work with the team to develop a rich program of experimentation and A/B testing to improve member product experiences, including metric creation, experiment design, power analysis, and analysis of experiment results.
  3. Drive data-informed decision making within Growth org by equipping PMs and engineers with self-service analytics tools, and conducting ad hoc analyses and causal studies for the team.
  4. Use advanced statistical methods for causal inference, as well as time-series and other forecasting techniques, to solve product questions for the team. Occasionally apply machine learning methods for problems such as customer segmentation.
  5. Build metrics to measure user funnels, product engagement, and retention, and use those metrics to help brainstorm potential product experiments to drive improvements in them.
