This role is for a Senior Data Center Facilities Development Manager at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The primary responsibility is to oversee the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects meet schedule, quality, and design requirements. The role involves project management, schedule management, risk evaluation, tenant fit-out integration, quality assurance, design coordination, stakeholder communication, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically in data center or colocation infrastructure.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and manage the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  3. Analyze projects independently to evaluate the risk profiles associated with timely delivery, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation and inform the business of associated potential impacts.
  4. Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning to fully coordinate and integrate the separate scope of tenant fit out projects with the base building projects.
  5. Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on data center or colocation infrastructure either for a general contractor, colocation provider, or hyperscaler.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and design coordination.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
