This role focuses on the maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of data center critical infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing incidents, conducting site reviews for data center builds, acting as an engineering representative for mission-critical systems, and contributing to training and knowledge sharing within the team. The role also involves collaboration with various teams for design integration, operational optimization, and ensuring safe working practices. Additionally, it includes participation in site commissioning, data center operations management, and engineering design governance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Tracks and monitors ongoing critical environment maintenance and repair for all service lines to pre-defined service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure service uptime is maintained to the highest standards and that faults are dealt with promptly.
  2. Manages incidents that impact data center infrastructure and the proactive and timely resolution of such incidents.
  3. Participates in site reviews and assessments to evaluate suitability for data center builds, gathering and analyzing technical, environmental, and infrastructure data to inform decision-making.
  4. Acts as the engineering representative on a wide range of moderately complex on-site scenarios related to mission critical systems, operations, and functionality.
  5. Contributes to the identification of training programs for newer members of the team.
