Senior Data Scientist (quality Systems)

The role focuses on quality engineering within Intel Foundry's advanced package substrate roadmap. It involves leading the application of advanced statistical methods like SPC, conducting operational audits, introducing and enforcing quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The goal is to elevate quality standards internally and at suppliers to meet customer expectations in a competitive foundry environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the application of advanced statistical methods, specifically Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  2. Conduct on-site operational audits to ensure factories are on track to bring new capacity online.
  3. Introduce and enforce operational quality standards including scope, goals, expectations (PCS, CCB, CAPA, outgoing inspection...), reporting, audits and CIPs.
  4. Consider a multitude of factors and evaluate based on urgency, importance, value, and effort to aid factories in prioritization of improvements.

Skills

Required

  • Master's degree with 4+ years of experience or PhD degree with 2+ years of experience in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt with hands-on experience with tool/process PCS, data analysis, statistical tools and methods
  • 1+ years of experience in general fab manufacturing process development experience

Nice to have

  • Ability to travel internationally in support of training, audits and technical discussions
  • Model-based problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of programming (Python, Java script, SQL, Power BI preferred)
