Senior Software Engineer to join the NVIDIA Developer Tools team, focusing on advancing compute debugger products. The role involves architecting, designing, and implementing debugger features for GPUs across various operating systems, collaborating with internal teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect, design, and implement solutions to integrate new debugger features into existing NVIDIA developer tools products.
  2. Collaborate closely with research, libraries, and product teams at NVIDIA to identify debugger features that can effectively improve developer productivity and efficiency.
  3. Document requirements and designs, and review documents with teams throughout NVIDIA.
  4. Develop the compute debugger tools for GPUs running on Linux, Windows, and embedded operating systems.
  5. Effectively estimate and prioritize tasks in order to create realistic delivery schedules.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of experience
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong computer science fundamentals - algorithms and data structures, programming languages, parallel computing, and system software.
  • Strong programming ability in C, C++, Assembly Language and scripting languages
  • Excellent knowledge of computer architecture
  • Ability to self-manage, communicate, and adapt in a fast paced, high demand environment with changing priorities and direction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a dynamic and distributed team.

Nice to have

  • Expert knowledge in GPU architectures and GPU programming.
  • Knowledge of CUDA programming
  • Experience and/or interests in creating developer tools like debuggers and profilers.
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related engineering fields.
