We are seeking talented individuals to join our team to help us grow our presence, organization, culture, which will drive our digital product development efforts. **What will you do? **
As a** Senior DevOps Engineer **at Cat Digital's Slovakian branch, you will have the opportunity to build products Caterpillar’s digital products and contribute to design, testing and deployment of our tools and applications as well as:
- Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components
- Solve technical problems and identify resolution in cloud environment.
- Drive development, focused around delivering cloud services and tools.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Communicate with end users and internal customers to help achieve accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness of the product.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital in the US.
**What you have: **
- **Strong knowledge of software product lifecycle **and the ability to design, configure, and integrate technical solutions across the lifecycle.
- **Effective Communications: **Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
- Experience in supporting/deploying cloud services or deploying scalable and highly available enterprise applications on cloud platforms (AWS).
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and/or others.
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as configuration management or deployment tools like Puppet, Chef, or equivalent.
- Working in an agile environment.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Strong understanding and/or experience in some of the following:
- Solid scripting/programming skills (Python, bash or similar)
- Strong understanding of security, networking and system design practices
- Experience with multi-cloud environments
- Datastores such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Oracle
- Certifications (AWS, Azure or other)
