This role is for a Senior Director of Strategic Capture focused on the U.S. Air Force. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute Shield AI's long-term business development and capture strategy, identifying and securing growth opportunities aligned with USAF modernization goals. The role requires deep knowledge of USAF operations and acquisition processes, and building relationships with key stakeholders. While Shield AI develops AI-powered systems, this specific role is in business development and strategy, not direct AI/ML development or product shipping.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive Air Force strategic capture strategy that spans all Shield AI business units and product lines.
  2. Identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic opportunities aligned with USAF modernization goals (e.g., Collaborative Combat Aircraft, JADC2, ABMS, and Next Generation Air Dominance).
  3. Build and maintain trusted relationships across USAF decision-makers, including MAJCOMs, AFWERX, SAF/AQ, AFRL, ACC, AFSOC, AMC, and PEO organizations.
  4. Serve as Shield AI’s key Air Force interface for strategic discussions, ensuring a unified message and coordinated engagement across all company divisions.
  5. Anticipate customer needs, understand program funding and priorities, and proactively align Shield AI offerings to emerging requirements.
