This role is a Senior Director, Chief of Staff for Customer Security & Trust (CST) at Microsoft. What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as a principal advisor to the VP, shaping priorities, framing tradeoffs, and driving execution on the most complex and high-impact initiatives.
  2. Lead CST’s strategic planning, multi-year roadmaps, and OKRs, ensuring alignment to Microsoft and CELA priorities.
  3. Establish and run the CST operating model, including leadership cadence, decision forums, and business reviews.
  4. Own the VP’s external engagement strategy across governments, regulators, customers, industry, and partners.
  5. Ensure high-quality preparation for all engagements, including objectives, narratives, briefings, and talking points.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related roles
  • Leadership experience in Chief of Staff, executive operations, strategy, or equivalent roles in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with enterprise scope and executive judgment at the CVP level.
  • Demonstrated strategic acumen combined with operational rigor and execution discipline.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, trust, policy, legal, regulatory, or external-facing domains.
  • Familiarity with government and regulatory engagement models.

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree in relevant field AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 15+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
