Senior Director of Datacenter Design to lead a global team responsible for OCI data hall design, standards, and optimization. Focus on power/space utilization, flexibility, and process improvement through collaboration with various infrastructure teams. Requires strong leadership, project oversight, stakeholder engagement, and innovation in data center design.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the communications strategy for datacenter design decisions which includes executive level and detailed project briefs and status updates.
  2. Measure, analyze, track and report business, process, and quality metrics to achieve targets while analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  3. Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction and exceed customer’s expectations on each project.
  4. Use technical judgment to drive new project evaluations, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus.
  5. Enable a culture of knowledge across functions: Provide regular updates on selected relevant knowledge, market intelligence, relevant news, academia, and other relevant entities.

What the JD emphasized

  • 10+ years of experience with a strong focus on data center design management.
  • Experience in data center design and construction process, including greenfields and retrofits.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including cooling, power distribution, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience working in Infrastructure/Cloud/Hardware with a background in Strategy, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain Optimization, driving technology strategy and/or technology consulting.
  • Analytical and quantitative experience, with additional experience in constructively engaging with analysts, Data Science and Engineering, and UXR partners to frame and interpret sophisticated analyses.
  • Problem solving and strategy experience, including expansive opportunity identification, data-driven segmentation, and framing of complex/ambiguous problems.
  • Experience delivering products to highly regulatory constrained public sector customers is highly desirable.
