Senior Director of Ethics & Compliance for Eli Lilly in the Gulf region, responsible for implementing the global E&C program, cultivating a speak-up culture, and providing expert guidance on affiliate strategies and activities. This role involves risk assessment, policy implementation, training, monitoring, and ensuring business processes align with global standards. It also requires influencing leadership, collaborating cross-functionally, and representing Lilly with external stakeholders and regulators.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate/consult and influence leadership to ensure the key elements of an effective compliance program are built into local governance and decision forums, business and operational processes, and training.
  2. Ensure reliable controls are in place and understood by the business to address key risk areas (existing and emerging) to mitigate/prevent – in the “what”, “how” and “why” so that business activities are appropriately implemented.
  3. Collaborate with the business together with the Gulf E&C Manager to regularly develop and implement dynamic compliance risk assessments and integrate mitigating measures into business processes.
  4. Support E&C procedure localization and providing input to global procedure updates.
  5. Contribute to developing and driving monitoring plans, root cause analysis, and meaningful corrective actions/preventive actions in close collaboration with an integrated approach across other functions (Finance, Center of Excellence, HR, Medical, Marketing, Sales, etc.).
